Paintball=Fun

Our church youth group is having a mini retreat this weekend.  Several worship times, and small group times. We are a host home.  We had 12 junior & senior high school girls spend the night last night & then again tonight. I love these girls.  Sweet friends of Tiffs.

Well this afternoon the kids had a choice.  Play paintball or go bowling. Well Tiff jumped at the chance of playing paintball. She's wanted to do that for a while.

Here are some pictures.  Even Bill played. :-)  Tiff did get hit 2 times. Once in the leg and once in the head. She said it hurt, but it was still fun.  She's ready to play again.

Spaghetti Tacos!

Have you ever heard of Spaghetti Tacos?  Well, it's a "recipe" that the girls have seen on one of their favorite TV Shows.  Tiff has tried them before but Abby & Jadyn have not.  Jadyn asked if we could have them some day.

So today I made them.  And we all ate them.  Even mom & dad.  :-)  I have to say, it's okay.  Not a favorite meal. But a fun meal. And the girls loved it and that's all that matters. They are taking leftovers to school for lunch tomorrow. :-)

Happy Gotcha Day Ethan!

Two years ago today we met our little man.  I can't believe how much he's changed since that day.  I'm amazed at what love can do to a child.  It changes them, in so many ways. 

I'm so honored that God called us to adopt.  If He did not call us, and/or if we did not listen, we would not have the 3 beautiful blessings He's given us, or the two more blessings he's going to be giving us in a few months.  We would have missed out on so much. 

To Ethan: I am proud to be called your MOM!  You are an amazing little guy. You have grown so much in 2 years. Your personality is so much fun. I love the smiles you give us, I love the hugs you give us on your own now, and also the kisses that you give me without me even asking. I love hearing you call me "Mommy".  You are growing into an amazing little boy. I can not wait to see what plans God has in store for you.  I know you will be doing great things!

Our Terrific Kid-Abby

We are so proud of Abby.  She was chosen as her class's "Terrific Kid" for the month of December.  Each month the school focuses on a character trait. December's was on Generosity.  We are so proud to hear how generous Abby is at school.  She loves to share and helps the teacher out and her classmates out daily.  (yup, sounds like our Abby). 

This past Monday, they had a recognition ceremony.  Bill, Ethan & I went.  It was great to see the 57 kids stand up there who all represent a classroom in the school.
