Thank you for your prayers. Ethan did great. Surgery was about 2 1/2 hours long. Ethan woke up fighting (no surprise there). Thankfully he calmed down as soon as I held him (made me feel really good).
We sat in recovery for about 3-4 hours. Ethan is on a liquid diet and they needed to see if he would drink from a syringe. He did drink about 1 oz of milk and did fine. Since he did so well, they allowed us to come home.
Now Ethan is sitting with Bill. He has not wanted anyone but me. I'm so thankful for the break.
Ethan is in pain. He's swollen. We're praying the pain meds they gave us will help him. We're still not sure how we're going to sleep.
Here are a couple of photos from this morning. Thanks again for everything. Ethan goes back in a week to get the stitches out. Then we do the palate surgery, in a few months.
Until next time.....
Ethan wants to escape.

Ethan after surgery
Praying for pain relief and a restful night. So thankful everything went well with his surgery. Love his no-no's. It looks like he has an ichthus on them.
ReplyDeleteGlad Ethan's surgery went so well and praying his recovery goes well, too.
